About Me

My photo
Pat Meras, NPS, PSA
A native of Montana, I received my BA in Applied Art from Montana State University, Bozeman, which included studies abroad in Italy and Holland. After many years of drawing from a live model and experimenting with various printmaking techniques, I desired a more painterly approach. That has kept me painting exclusively in pastel for the last 30 years and I find it to be a wonderful link between drawing and painting. I exhibit locally, regionally, nationally and internationally and have fine art reproductions distributed worldwide. My intent is simply to convey an emotional and intuitive response to the mystery and serenity of the landscape in light and shadow. Hopefully I compel the viewers to interpret my work from their own rich pool of memories, impressions and experiences, and in a little different way each time they encounter it.
