Hand Painted Original Earrings at Museum Shops
I've had so many inquiries about where to buy my hand painted, sometimes monotyped, one-of-a-kind earrings since I wear them wherever I go. They make me happy to create them, wear them, and even happier to see them on others. I'm so pleased that they are now available at two art museum shops: Bainbridge Island Art Museum, 55 Winslow Way E, on Bainbridge of course, and The Harbor History Museum, 4121 Harborview Drive in Gig Harbor. "Don't worry, be Happy" as the song goes. In these times, it's a perfect antidote! Blue Skies Ahead~ Pat

Peninsula Art League 2015 Open Juried Show
Not An Ordinary Moment Of Existence
I entered one small piece in this show. Sometimes it takes as much or more time, energy and intense engagement to produce a small painting as it does a larger one. This is one of those pieces. I got caught up in the abstract shape of the marks. Mark making has always been of interest to me. It's definitely something that's best kept in the privacy of my studio though. Laying down a mark, walking away to view it from a distance, talking to myself, another mark, you get the idea. Often I'm asked why I don't teach workshops. Chloe, our recently deceased cat is the only one who could have truly answered that.
Come and join us for the Reception at the
Harbor History Museum

PAINT OUT IN GIG HARBOR
The Harbor History Museum in Gig Harbor welcomes plein air painters to “Paint the Shenandoah” at the Maritime Paint Out, in conjunction with the Gig Harbor Maritime Art Show. Come and join us Saturday, Aug 11, 2012 anytime from 8am-5pm at 4121 Harborview Drive. What could be better than spending the day on the water in this sweet little harbor town, painting, and meeting old friends and new! Bring your lunch or enjoy one of the local restaurants nearby. Coffee and tea will be provided. Meet behind the museum by the Shenandoah, the 65-foot purse seiner, donated to the Museum in 2000. To learn more about the Shenandoah Project, go to: www.harborhistorymuseum.org/programs/shenandoah-project/. At 5pm, you have the option to bring your painting framed or unframed to the museum to be considered for the "Museum's Choice" by Nate Slater.
