Works of Art by Pat Meras at the Bainbridge Art Museum Store
Spring Whimsy, Pastel Over Watercolor, 7x11
I am so pleased to have a collection of small original pastel paintings,
some over watercolor, for sale at the Bainbridge Island Art Museum Store.
They join my collection of handpainted and monoprinted earrings,
also for sale in the store.
Bainbridge is one of my favorite places on the planet to visit, and the
art museum in particular. Always the best exhibits, artists' talks, special
events, unique original art in the handsomely displayed museum store,
and a great little cafe, all housed in a beautifully designed building and
believe it or not, free parking!
Hours are 10-6 7 days a week
550 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge Island 98110

In October, I also took part in the
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND BID & BUY online AUCTION and
COLLECTORS MARKETPLACE to support the museum,
with my painting, "View From The Purdy Bridge."

Painting During The Pandemic
Sunday, November 1, 2020
PANDEMIC ENTERTAINMENT
I hope you’re all discovering captivating activities to amuse yourselves during this time.
Thought I’d share some up-to-date news from apartment living.
Don’t judge.
In an effort to hang on to our sanity a little longer, we’ve been making the most of all that nature provides.
This pandemic has taught us many things, including a science lesson in real time:
Observing Spider Behavior
We watched her weave her web only to have it destroyed by wind and birds. (a lesson in engineering)
We watched her rebuild, undaunted. (lesson in fortitude and resilience)
Watched her trap flying insect pests that have long been feasting so greedily on our balcony potted plants. (a lesson in resourcefulness and shopping-made-easy)
Watched as she lured her mate, watched her mating, then watched her eat her mate! (no comment, but we definitely learned something)
Yep, a Halloween Horror story played out on stage, all in clear view from our glass doors, just in time for Halloween!
